The Wolverine Pathways application is closed.
Our next application window will open December 2026 for 6th and 9th grade applicants meeting eligibility criteria noted below.

The Southeast Michigan Wolverine Pathways application window closed February 28, 2026. 
The Grand Rapids application window closed March 20, 2026.

Southeast Michigan admissions decisions were shared via their parents’ email by June 12, 2026.
Grand Rapids applicants can expect to receive a decision via their parents’ email by July 2026.

Applications for Southeast Michigan initiated after February 28, 2026 are not considered for admission.

Eligibility Requirements

  • You are currently a 6th-grade or 9th-grade student.
  • You live within the Detroit Public Schools District or within the Ypsilanti Community Schools District or the Southfield Public Schools District.
  • For 6th-grade applicants, students must have an overall GPA of 3.0 and a minimum academic GPA of 2.8 (ELA/English, Social studies/History, Science, Mathematics and World Language classes).
  • For 9th-grade applicants, students must have an overall GPA of 3.2 and a minimum academic GPA of 3.0 (ELA/English, Social studies/History, Science, Mathematics and World Language classes).

Admitted Student Requirement(s)

  • Admitted students will be required to show legal documentation to verify their home address as a part of the enrollment process. Use this school district tool to confirm you live within Detroit, Southfield or Ypsilanti Community School districts.

Application Deadline

  • Applications are due by Saturday, February 28, 2026.
  • Recommendations (a required section of the application) are due no later than Saturday, February 28, 2026.
